Life Story is an original hand-cut paper artwork by Wei Chen, telling the story of a lifetime through one continuous, intricately cut composition.
The journey begins at the centre with the birth of a baby and gradually unfolds outwards through childhood, youth, love, marriage and family life. The final scene at the outer edge represents the end of life, completing the circle.
Every figure and detail is carefully cut by hand from a single sheet of paper. Viewed as a whole, the artwork forms an intricate circular pattern; looked at closely, individual moments and stories begin to emerge.
